June 7 @ 7 pm - Adult Summer Reading Kickoff With Author John Searles

The Reader Services Department of the East Meadow Public Library is thrilled to announce the kickoff of our eleventh annual Adult Summer Reading Club on Tuesday, June 7th. Register for our reading club and meet John Searles, author of Her Last Affair, who will be joining us for a book talk and signing at 7:00 p.m. Her Last Affair is a character driven, twisty thriller that will be the perfect summer read. The registration for our reading club will be held in the lobby from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and we will also take registrations at the kickoff party which will be from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. After June 7th, you can register online or with the Reader Services Department. Our reading club will provide members the opportunity to attend exciting book events along with a delightful party at the end of the program.

April 19 @ 1 pm - Lunch 'N Books: Maid by Stephanie Land

Join us on April 19 at 1:00 p.m. as we discuss Maid by Stephanie Land. A journalist describes the years she worked in low-paying domestic work under wealthy employers, contrasting the privileges of the upper-middle class to the realities of the overworked laborers supporting them.

Anna Katsavos will be the discussion leader.
