The Princess of Las Vegas by Chris Bohjalian

Chrissy Dowling looks like Princess Diana and has developed a stage act impersonating her in an off the strip Vegas casino. She shares some of Diana's problems which are tied to a complicated past. Her sister Betsy, the bad girl, has come to terms with her upbringing, and is a social worker in Vermont who helps troubled teens. She now has a genius teenage daughter who she fostered and adopted. Betsy could be Chrissy's twin, as she also resembles Diana. The sisters do their best to avoid each other until Betsy's boyfriend moves her and her daughter to Vegas where his new job in cryptocurrency is both mysterious and lucrative.

There is also a job in the company for Betsy-one that goes from heaven to hell very quickly when she discovers just why she's really there. Politics, the Mafia, "suicides" and lethal accidents combine to threaten Chrissy and Betsy's lives, ramping up the tension to unthinkable. Bohjalian, author of Flight Attendant, knows how to push the reader's buttons-I literally could not put this book down, and when it ended, I hoped for Princess, Book 2. No greater compliment than that!
